Y’all are going to think I’m crazy! I have changed our coffee table. Again. Well, it’s actually the same one I shared with you a while back when I showed you some updates I made to this room. I just had it reupholstered. Wait, let me back up a second. I had the top reupholstered by someone who is super-awesome and has “maj” skills. As far as the skirt goes I actually somehow managed to make one myself. I’ll be sure to share more about that later but for now I just wanted to show you the new fabric.
As part of my mission to lighten and brighten our home I decided to paint this room a much lighter shade. If you follow me on Instagram then you know I almost pulled my hair out trying to get the color right in here. I chose about three different types of grey and they ended up either looking blue or green. Thanks, by the way, to those of you that gave me your feedback when I shared those pictures. Anyway, I decided to go a different direction. I finally figured out that a “greige” was going to be a better option since it would have just a hint of a warmer undertone. So what you see here is Chocolate Froth by Behr. Love! No blue undertones AT ALL. I think it was the right choice to work with all my gold glam touches.
Ok, back to the fabric. I wanted something with a bold pattern since there isn’t a whole lot going on in here already. I also wanted something neutral and with the grey, beige, brown and cream this one is perfect. I found it at fabric.com. It’s Santa Maria Moonstone by Waverly. It’s an outdoor fabric, which is great because I just know Brady will be sleeping on it.
Yeah, he tries to act all innocent but as soon as I’m gone…
This is what the living room looked like before I painted and had the ottoman reupholstered.
Better, right? Want to see the other things I’ve used in front of the sofa? Just click the links. There was the Union Jack coffee table, the DIY Gold Tray Tables, the grey & white ottoman/tray table combo, and of course this large cocktail ottoman in coral. I know, I have a problem. But I love this too much to change it anytime soon.
